What is CrossFit?

CrossFit is a combination of Olympic weightlifting, running, rowing, power lifting, kettlebells, gymnastics and interval training, to provide the best strength and conditioning programme available. Our workouts are: 1. Constantly varied. The workout changes every day. 2. Functional movement. Focused on movements you do in your everyday life, rather than gym-specific movements that don’t translate into most sports or life in general. 3. High intensity. We push you to perform at your highest level. The harder you push, the quicker you will progress. Intensity is relative, however, and our programme is designed to work for everyone from grandmothers to professional athletes. 4. Group classes. Our sessions are led by a qualified coach and are usually one hour in length. This includes a warm up, skill/strength and technique work, the workout, and some mobility/stretching. CVFM @ HI + Group Environment = Health *A regime of constantly varied (CV), functional movements (FM) performed at high intensity (@HI) in a group environment leads to health and fitness.

At CrossFit Hawk Eye we not only take fitness seriously we make it fun! We are very different to most gyms in the area. Our qualified coaches prioritise the safety of our members. Our training programmes are designed to improve your movement in every day life and sport. We don’t have weight machines, we use your body and real weights to create free, natural movement. You also won’t find any mirrors in our gym, we’re much more concerned with how hard you are working and your technique rather than what your hair looks like! Whether you are looking to lose weight, meet new friends or improve your overall health and fitness, once you’ve tried CrossFit you won’t look back! All exercises / workouts are scalable meaning that ANYONE can do CrossFit. We pride ourselves on our diverse community and the friendships that have been formed through the supportive and motivational environment at CrossFit Hawk Eye.
